Privacy Policy

This policy explains what legit collects, why, and who we share it with. We try to collect as little as possible.

1. What we collect

Email address, when you join the list, request early access, or subscribe. Post text, the content you paste in to be scored. Community reports, the structured feedback and notes you choose to submit. Basic usage data, such as scans performed, for running and improving the service. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe; we do not see or store your full card number.

2. How we use it

To provide scoring and the community layer, to operate your subscription, to contact you about the service, and to improve how legit works. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Service providers we use

We rely on a small number of processors to run legit: Stripe for payments, Anthropic for the AI that generates scores (post text you submit is sent to Anthropic to be analyzed), Supabase for our database, and Vercel for hosting. Each processes data only to provide their service to us.

4. Cookies

legit uses only the minimal storage needed to run the site. We do not use advertising trackers.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your data, see below.

6. Your choices

You can ask us to access or delete the personal information we hold about you, or unsubscribe from emails at any time. Email us and we will help.

7. Children

legit is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. We will update the effective date above when we do.
